The Port of Dalhousie is an international port that is open year round. Its location - at the tip of northern New Brunswick on the Bay of Chaleur and at the mouth of the renowned Restigouche River - makes it an excellent port of call for all cruise ship lines sailing the east coast of North America. A privately owned operation, the port is managed by a non-profit organization that has extensive experience in handling breakbulk/bulk cargo. The Port of Dalhousie is a modern well-equipped port with two major facilities.
The port is connected to inland markets via the Canadian National Railway, as well first class highways, located only three minutes away. Expansion plans call for the construction of a third deep water pier capable of handling several post-panamax vessels at any given time. This expansion will allow the port to develop new markets, and help it become a major port for project cargo and containers. The Port of Dalhousie is flexible and will work to meet the needs of its clients while delivering cost savings throughout the supply chain.
